  6. Builder · since 2005

    Founder

In fall 2005 he was the first employee at a start-up called Maverik Lacrosse, and he ran its West Coast operations. In 2009 he founded the LA Mavs, which grew from a single boys youth team into one of the biggest club programs in Southern California: more than 300 players and 20-plus coaches.

He also founded Sean Lindsay Lacrosse Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs Coalition Lacrosse Club. Then came Banner Years and the Hudson Valley Lax history series.

Graphics we make

Every All-American gets a card.

These are real samples from our Hudson Valley Lax series. We find the honorees in the old clippings, draw each one in his school's jersey and set the newspaper headshot that ran with the story right on the card. Two-time honorees get both certificates.

Why Banner Years

Because the old sports pages deserve better.

Sean grew up on hometown headlines: the agate type, the box scores and the names of kids who were legends in their town for one great spring. Most of those stories now sit in newspaper archives that nobody opens.

He has never been about the trophies. When he started the Mavs, the goal was simple: get kids to fall in love with the game the way he did. Banner Years comes from the same place. He knows what a big night feels like from the inside, so he built a company to dig those nights back out and give them the full treatment: recap carousels, player cards, posters, opening crawls and framed prints.

It started at home, with the Hudson Valley Lax series, rebuilding the valley's lacrosse seasons one year at a time from the clippings and the people who were there.

Every town has a team it still talks about. We make sure the story gets told right.
